Dharamshala is a beautiful city and a municipal council in Kangra district in the northern regions of India in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It offers wonderful views of the snow-laden mountains, exotic culture, quaint old monasteries and many tourist attractions. The total area covered by Dharamsala is almost 29 km. Dharamshala located near foot of snow wrapped lofty Dhauladhar range and offers a glorious views of snowy peaks, deodar forest and pine forests, tea garden and beautiful hills. Numerous streams, cool healthy air, attractive atmosphere and the nearby snowline, Dharamsala has everything for a perfect holiday with full of peaceful life. Today, Dharamshala in the north Indian State of Himachal Pradesh is home to a large Tibetan Community who have made Dharamshala their home.
Dalhousie One of the most accepted hill stations in Himachal Pradesh, Dalhousie is famous for its natural beauty and pleasant climate. It is situated between 6,000 and 9,000 feet and is bounded by scenic snow-capped peaks. Dalhousie gets its name from its eponymous founder Lord Dalhousie and houses a large number of Victorian-style mansions. It is spread over an 14 sq km and covers over five hills.

Tour Itinerary

Day 01: - Delhi – Amritsar Or Arrive in Amritsar

Reach in Delhi by Air or Train. After reaching Delhi drive to Amritsar by Cab reach in Amritsar in the evening. On arrival at Amritsar check in to the hotel.
Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel

Day 02: - Amritsar local sightseeing
Today after breakfast drive to sightseeing of Jallianwala Bagh. Jallianwala Bagh also known as Amritsar massacre. In the afternoon or evening proceed to visit Golden Temple. Golden Temple in Amritsar known as Swran Mandir also. The Golden Temple in Amritsar, India is the most sacred place of the Sikh Religion and where Guru Nanak lived and meditated.
Afternoon drive to visiting Wagah Border and attend Beating Retreat ceremony. The ceremony takes place every evening before sunset at the Wagha Border (Reach the border by 04:30 PM). The ceremony starts with a blustering parade by the soldiers from both the sides, and ends up in the perfectly coordinated lowering of the two nation’s flags. Evening time return back to hotel.
Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03: - Amritsar – Dharamshala (215 KMS)
After breakfast check out from the Hotel and drive to (4-5 hrs) Dharamshala. On arrival Dharamshala check in to the hotel. Evening free to explore the market. Dinner & overnight night stay in hotel

Day 04: - Dharamshala - Local sightseeing – Dalhousie (120 KMS)
After Breakfast check out from the hotel today drive to local sightseeing including official residence of Dalai lama in Mcleodganj, St John church & Bhagsunath temple, the oldest temple in Dharamshala and evening time drive to Dalhousie. On arrival in Dalhousie check in to the hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05: Dalhousie – Khajjiar – Dalhousie (25 KMS)
Today morning drive to sightseeing of Khajjiar, 23 kms from Dalhousie by road and 13 kms from Kalatop is the mini Switzerland of India i.e. Khajjiar, at a height of 6400 ft. Hutchison writes, "Khajjiar is a forest glade of great beauty, 6400 feet above sea level" known as the mini Switzerland of India and is surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests. There is a small lake in the center with a floating island and 9-hole golf course here. Enjoy zorbing & paragliding. After that return back to hotel.

Day 6: - Dalhousie – Delhi / Amritsar (480 KMS Delhi and 190 KMS Amritsar)
Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Delhi or Amritsar as desire by cab. Evening Reach in Delhi or Amritsar and drop at airport or railway station as desired
